Helen’s love of hand-sewing started young and her appreciation of textile art was ignited in further education where she studied Art, Graphics & Screen printing, inspired especially by William Morris and his discerning use of colour and repeating pattern.
With over 30 years of experience working in the creative industries, including Graphic Design and Fashion & Events, Helen developed strong project management skills. In 2012 Helen moved into the interiors industry working in Upholstery and soft furnishings. Helen initially trained with a local upholsterer and then with the AMUSF, passing the Soft furnishings diploma with distinction and winning the Kobe Soft Furnishings Award for her year. Helen is now proud to be a fully accredited member of the AMUSF where expert makers and industry professionals continue to inspire and influence her work.
